Via Ferrata is Italian for “iron road” and is best known at mountain passes, where you climb along a steep rock via steel cables and grips.
And here, in the Flemish Ardennes, you will find our very own via ferrata! A unique climbing course around a 9-meter high climbing tower.
Before you start, you will receive a comprehensive briefing from an Outsider monitor. You will be given your climbing harness and helmet.
Immediately after the explanation, you start on the test course, low to the ground. This way you get used to the climbing system without the adrenaline of the height.
You do not climb straight up, but follow a horizontal route – easy or difficult – via the footrests and handholds along the outer wall of the tower.
On the difficult route, you’ll also find climbing holds and a swing for added challenge. You will push your limits at altitude, step by step, to end at the adrenaline rush down….
Once at the top, the deathride awaits, a descent with speed, excitement and a hearty dose of adrenaline. That first second before you jump off, you feel the doubt but once you slide, there is only the thrill of the fall.
It is the peak of this course, literally and figuratively.
This activity is perfect for those who love a dose of action and pushing boundaries.
The climbing course is still a bit exciting for many, but is achievable for beginners and challenging enough for daredevils.
The combination of climbing and deathride makes this a favorite with those who really want to test themselves.
Climb, shiver and then jump full of adrenaline. These daredevils already did it for you.
Very safe. You are continuously secured with professional equipment and guided by experienced monitors.
