Barefoot path + Swamp course

Read more… Show less

First feel, then slide

Do you want an activity that everyone can participate in and that gradually builds from relaxation to adventure? Then combine our barefoot path with the swamp course. First, you take off your shoes and discover nature with all your senses. Afterwards, it is time to put your balance, courage, and dry feet to the test in the swamp.

An ideal combination for those who enjoy being outdoors, love experiencing nature, and aren’t afraid of a little mud.

From gentle stimuli to real challenges

On the barefoot path, you leave your shoes behind and feel every piece of nature beneath your feet. You walk over tree trunks, through mud, past water features, over pebbles and wood chips. Every surface feels different and makes for a unique experience. Not only fun, but also surprisingly relaxing.

After this sensory journey of discovery, it is time for action. In the swamp course, you make your way across small bridges, swaying poles, hanging nets, and other challenging obstacles above the water. Here, not only your balance comes in handy, but also a healthy dose of perseverance. One wrong step and you end up in the water.

You choose your own challenge

The barefoot path is accessible to everyone. Young and old can enjoy the different surfaces and surprises along the way at their own pace.

In the swamp, too, you choose how far you go. There are two routes: an easier version for those who want to test their limits, and a more challenging course for those who like to push themselves. This way, everyone finds a challenge that suits their level.

For nature lovers, adventurers, and everyone in between

This combination brings together the best of two worlds. The barefoot path lets you experience nature in a surprising way, while the swamp course provides action, excitement, and often plenty of laughter.

Whether you enjoy the feeling of mud between your toes or do whatever it takes to get through the swamp dry, this combination guarantees fun, challenge, and unforgettable moments in nature. One thing is certain: you probably won’t end up with clean feet, but you will have plenty of smiles.

  • Is the swamp trail accessible by wheelchair?

No, this activity is not wheelchair accessible.

  • Do I need fitness?

This activity is perfect for anyone with basic fitness.

  • How deep is the swamp?

At its deepest point, the swamp trail is about 1.20 meters. In other places it is between 10 and 80 cm deep. Everywhere you get to the bank with a few steps. So being able to swim is not a requirement.

  • Can I skip pieces if I don’t want to do everything?

Yes, you can skip pieces and walk past them if you prefer not to participate in everything. But of course we challenge you to try everything!

  • Is it mandatory to wear shoes during the trail?

Yes, this is mandatory. This way you cannot hurt yourself on the installations that are often finished with metal. Make sure the shoes are securely attached to your foot so you don’t lose them in the mud.

  • Is guidance provided?

This activity is completely do-it-yourself and can be done for ages 6 and up. Children ages 6 and up require mandatory adult supervision. For ages 9 and up, supervision is not mandatory, but highly recommended for a safe and worry-free adventure. There is no supervision by an Outsider monitor on the trail itself.

  • I have a child under 3, can they participate in the barefoot path?

Yes! Babies are perfectly fine in a baby carrier, and toddlers who are just stepping will experience their first mini-adventure here. The path is low-threshold, but some sections can be a bit more challenging. No stress: in those moments you can simply lift your little one up to the next obstacle.
