Two cables, endless fun on the water

On lake Donk is our cablepark with two separate cables: a small 2.0 cable for beginners and a big 5.0 cable for those already experienced or ready for the real thing. You are pulled across the water from the starting dock and choose whether to start with a kneeboard, water skis or wakeboard.

Our cable park is open from the beginning of April until the end of October. All opening hours and details can be found on the Cablepark page.

You are also welcome without experience

Never been on a board before? No problem! Come during the opening hours of small cable or join our Start2Wake sessions. Our crew will give you tips, help you get started and build slowly.

Most beginners start with a kneeboard, then switch to water skis and finally to wakeboard when they get the feel. We are adamant that everyone has a successful experience!

  • Can water skiing continue in rain or bad weather?

Yes! You’re already in the water anyway, so some extra splashes of wetness will do. In case of severe weather, we will of course look for an alternative solution.

  • What are the general conditions of participation?

You can read the general participation conditions for group activities here. You always agree to these conditions when you book a group activity.

  • How can I contact the Cablepark team directly?

    You can always email info@outsidercablepark.be.

  • It is my first time on cable, what should I do?

There are set times when the small cable car is open and the big cable car runs slower. Ideal for beginners!

If it is your first time, it is best to let the operator at the cable car know. He will help you get started and give you the necessary tips and tricks. Also take a good look at the information boards at the starting dock, they will help you get a smooth start.

Do you like to come well prepared? Then check out our instructional videos for beginners.

Want to really learn from scratch, with a professional initiator? Then choose Start 2 Wake on Thursday nights from our water ski club AVLAR.

  • Where & when should I sign up for my water ski session?

For wakeboarding/water skiing, you may walk straight from the parking lot to the Cablepark itself (on the water). There you will find the reception desk where you will receive your access tape. You can also pick up your equipment at the reception desk. It is best to check in 15 to 30 minutes before your start time to make sure you can start your session on time.

  • From what age can you try the Cablepark?

From 8 years the small cable is accessible, from 10 years the big cable is accessible. We recommend that children always start at the small cable car. The small cable is open for a limited time, check the opening hours in advance to book your session.

  • Can I wakeboard right away on my first session?

The logical order is kneeboarding first, then water skiing, and finally wakeboarding. This is the most difficult step. Experience with snowboarding, kite or skateboarding can help with learning to wakeboard, though. If you want to try wakeboarding for the first time, choose a wakeboard easy-up. Only when you manage to do laps with the easy-up can you switch to an obstacle wakeboard. You can also rent these materials at the reception desk. Feel free to ask a staff member for advice.

If you would like to wakeboard but find that extra guidance is needed, book a Start2Wake session on Thursday nights from our water ski club AVLAR!

  • Am I required to rent a wakeboard/wetsuit with it?

Your 1 or 2 hour ticket includes everything you need to start at the cable car: kneeboard, water skis, helmet, life jacket and of course access to the cable car. During your booking process you will have the chance to rent a wakeboard easy-up, a wakeboard obstacles or a wetsuit in addition. This is NOT mandatory, but optional.

  • Do I/my child have to be able to swim to participate at the Cablepark?

Yes, being able to swim is mandatory. Safety is our number one priority. Because all of our cable activities take place on the water, it is important that each participant can independently keep themselves above water and can swim comfortably with a life jacket.

  • Do I need to book in advance for water skiing/wakeboarding or can I do it on the spot?

It is always best to reserve in advance. There are a maximum of 30 places per time slot, so places are limited. To avoid disappointment, buy your tickets online. If there are still spaces left, it is also possible to buy tickets at the Cablepark ticket office.

  • What is included in my hourly ticket to the Cablepark?

In addition to access at the big cable, helmet, life jacket, kneeboard and water skis are also included in the price. If the small cable car is also open during your session, you will automatically have access to this as well.

  • Where can I store my equipment?

Lockers are available in the main square of The 7 Summits adventure park. Be sure to bring a €1 coin to close the locker. You will get this coin back as soon as you open the locker again. For large groups, we also have extra large boxes to store a lot of equipment at once.

  • How many people can be on the cable cars at a time?

On the 2.0 initiation cable there can be one person at a time. On the 5.0 large cable car, 8 people can go at a time. During a time slot, we allow a maximum of 30 people. This way we guarantee that you can start the cable car sufficiently, since you will always need time to swim or walk back.

  • Are there showers/changing rooms available?

Both showers and changing rooms are available on our property. So you can easily change and freshen up before or after activities. For €0.50 you can use our showers. In the adventure park there is also a free fountain and outdoor showers to rinse off.

  • Where can I purchase a The Outsider Cablepark gift card?

Gift cards can be purchased through our gift card page. You can choose between a gift card for an activity or a gift carde with an amount.

  • How do I activate a gift card?

You do this by booking online. On the booking page you can enter your unique letter code under ‘Discount code or voucher’. This can be found on your gift card. Don’t forget to click on ‘Apply’! The amount of the gift card is then automatically deducted from the total amount. The card is valid for 1 year from the day of purchase (you can also check this on your card).

  • I have a Bongo voucher. How can I make a reservation?

To redeem your Bongo voucher, please complete the following form. Keep in mind the opening hours at the top of this page. Attention: Only after you have received a confirmation e-mail, your booking is complete.
