RC Lens has already set a strong example. <\/b><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">More and more professional clubs (football, basketball, volleyball, \u2026) are realizing that the start of a season is about more than just physical preparation. It is the moment to strengthen group cohesion and to gain valuable insights as a coach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>RC Lens also travelled to The Outsider Flemish Ardennes for an intense two-day experience full of action, competition, and surprises. Not a classic training camp, but two days in which the team was challenged, literally and figuratively.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Below, we take you along on their adventure. Everyone changes into sportswear, and we dive straight into action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The players have no idea what awaits them. We divide them into teams of six, and those teams will stay together for the next two days. From this moment on, every point counts. The competition has begun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>On to the Teambuilders<\/strong> challenges<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Our team builders are designed to bring participants closer together through various group assignments, some more challenging than others. Collaboration, communication, and trust are key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program consists of physical challenges that also require thinking and decision-making. Some take place on solid ground, while others are strategically set above water. This means cooperation is essential to make it through the forest without getting wet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each challenge pushes teams to combine their strengths and push their limits together. Here you quickly see who takes the lead, who follows naturally, and who struggles under pressure. Equipped with infrared weapons, the teams head into the forest for an intense Laser Battle. Each team is assigned a base and various missions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Strategy, communication, and collaboration make the difference. The competitive edge adds extra intensity, especially in a professional club driven by a winning mentality. Who shows the strongest mindset, and who best supports their team? On the contrary. We are just getting started<\/strong>!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After the activities, we take the group to their overnight accommodation: the Thuisbuizen. Ever slept in a sewer pipe? We provide everything for an adventurous outdoor night: sleeping bag, mat, pillow, and headlamp included.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Afterwards, the group gathers for a delicious BBQ (whether or not in DIY mode).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Think the day ends here? You don\u2019t know us yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve planned another surprise activity where we push the players to the limit, both physically and mentally. Ideal for a long summer evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mountain bike tour &amp; ascent of the Koppenberg<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After the BBQ, we dust off the mountain bikes for a challenging ride through the Flemish Ardennes. The ride finishes with the ascent of the iconic <strong>Koppenberg<\/strong> . Who will reach the top without putting a foot down? Who will have to continue on foot, cursing? Teams receive a map, checkpoints, and a compass. At each checkpoint, they must punch their map as proof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 9 km night drop through forests, fields, and farm tracks brings them back towards the estate. Speed and navigation are key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Who will be the first to find all the beacons?<br>Who stays calm when fatigue sets in?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Around midnight, the last teams reach the estate.<br>Time for a short but well-deserved night in the Thuisbuizen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Day 2 \u2013 <strong>Tired, but ready for more<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After a refreshing night outdoors, we start with a hearty breakfast to regain our strength for day two. Stories about the adventurous night surface! But there isn&#8217;t time for a long chat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Water-Run-Bike Scrabble<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The name says it all. Each team gets 2 kayaks and 2 bikes; the rest use their legs.<br>Using a central map, they must collect letters at various locations within the hour.<br>Memorizing locations, smartly distributing transport modes, and constant communication: everything revolves around efficiency and teamwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Which team makes the most progress? Who wins this challenge?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>The legendary Swamp Course<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>We conclude the two-day event with our well-known swamp course. Small bridges, winding posts, hanging nets, and treacherous obstacles above the water in a swampy forest. One wrong step, and your shoes(or even yourself) disappear into the mud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course delivers excitement, teamwork, and above all, hilarious moments. Competition fades into the background as participants simply enjoy an unforgettable shared adventure. Tired, wet, but smiling, the teams make their way toward the finish line of a demanding program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong>Finish in style<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After a refreshing shower, the award ceremony for the winning team takes place.<br>We end with a shared pasta lunch, where everyone looks back and laughs about the two intense days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is already clear: a multi-day experience like this for a sports club is far more than just a fun outing (although it is, of course, enjoyable). It is a targeted investment in players and the upcoming season. It helps release tension, strengthens mutual understanding, pushes limits, and allows time together without pressure.
